Dealing With Economic Changes: Common Security Club Interviews Our Co-Founder

Image for visual representation of this storyWhat's a Common Security Club?
* A place to come together to grapple with personal security in a rapidly changing world.
* To learn about the root causes of economic and ecological challenges.
* To explore ways to increase personal/economic security through mutual aid and shared action.
* To build on what we have together - and strengthen the institutions that we all depend on.
* In the process, make friends, find inspiration, have fun, and strengthen community.

With these economic times: foreclosures, evaporating savings, job insecurity, over 50 communities around the country have piloted a "Common Security Club" in 2009. Clubs typically are 15-25 adults who commit to meet for six initial facilitated meetings using a Facilitator's Guide. Anyone who feels comfortable leading a group can start a CSC.
